Prescriber / Non-Prescriber

Support from pharmaceutical partners helps make this event possible. As such, it is important that we
comply with the various codes and directives relating to the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of pharmaceutical products. The Human Medicine Regulations 2012, (clauses 294-300) and the European Union directive (2001/83/EC, article 86) provide guidelines relating to medicinal products for human use. Within these guidelines is the restriction that access to pharmaceutical product marketing activities must be limited to only those participants licensed / authorized to prescribe or supply medicinal products.
All participants, with the exception of the exhibitors, are asked the following question during registration: Are you licensed / authorized to prescribe or supply prescription only medicines?

Poster Viewing

Printed Posters will be displayed in the Poster area during the Congress hours during breaks.

Poster presenters should refer to the Poster Help Desk in the Poster Area in order to locate their board number(s).

SHIFT 1: 

  • Mounting: Sunday, 27 October:  from 18:00
  • Dismantling: Tuesday, 29 October: 13:30-14:00

SHIFT 2: 

  • Mounting: Tuesday, 29 October: from 15:00
  • Dismantling: Thursday, 31 October:  10:30-12:45

IMPORTANT:

  • You are expected to prepare and bring your printed poster to the congress venue. There will be no printing facilities onsite.
  • The organizers are not responsible for any posters that have not been removed by the end of their shift.
  • If you do not remove your poster by the specified time, it will be removed and discarded. We kindly ask for your cooperation in meeting the removal deadline.

Liability and Insurance

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

The IAP 2024 Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Letter of Invitation

An official personalized letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration procedure. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the scientific program.

Guidelines for speakers/ Oral presentation presenters

All speakers must check in with their presentation on a USB Memory stick with the technician at the Speakers’ Ready Room at least 2 hours before the session starts.

Guest attendance Policy

All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Opening Events

Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception

All registered congress participants are invited to join the Opening Ceremony (Hall 1: Gran Cancun F) followed by the Welcome Reception (Exhibition area).

CME and Certificate of Attendance

The 35th International Academy of Pathology Congress, Cancun, Mexico 27/10/2024 – 31/10/2024, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 39.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Kindly note that the IAP 2024 online evaluation will be active on the last day of the meeting. You will then be able to access it and claim your CME/CPD certificate.

Dress Code

Participants are advised to wear business casual for all Congress functions and programs.
